Yashica Electro 35 GT Black Rangefinder – Bargain User-Grade Classic
This is my well-used Yashica Electro 35 GT – the all-black version of the classic 35mm rangefinder that’s earned a cult following for its sharp 45mm f/1.7 lens and aperture-priority simplicity. I picked this one up a while back for a couple of personal projects that needed that unique Electro glow in night shots—nothing quite renders tungsten street lamps like this lens wide open.
Cosmetically, it shows its age: various scratches throughout, some honest brassing, and a slight haze in the viewfinder—not terrible, but worth noting. Mechanically, it still fires and meters, though anyone looking to shoot seriously should plan on replacing the light seals. (As is typical for Electros, they’ve aged out.)
This isn’t a shelf queen—it’s a working tool for someone who knows what they’re getting into. With a bit of love, it’s ready for more street runs or moody cityscape strolls. Comes as pictured, no extras. Inlcudes halfcase.
