Kodak Tri-X Pan 320 — 120 B&W (Expired)

The professional's professional — a single surviving roll from 1978.

Tri-X Pan Professional (TXP) was the studio-and-portrait sibling of the legendary Tri-X: a touch more silver, finer grain, and tuned for controlled light at ISO 320. This is a genuine 120 medium-format roll that expired in 1978 — and it's a one-of-one. Only a single roll of it exists in our stock.

120 roll · box speed ISO 320 · Tri-X Pan Professional (TXP) · expired 1978 · one roll only, sold as-is

How to Shoot It

• Rate it slower than box speed to fight age fog — try EI 160 (EI 100–200 depending on how cautious you are). Old film loses sensitivity, so give it more light.
• Meter for the shadows and let the highlights fall where they may.
• TXP was built for even, controlled light — studio, bright overcast, and open shade suit it best.
• Bracket your most important frames; a 47-year-old roll is a single, unrepeatable take.

Developing

• Standard black-and-white chemistry — D-76, HC-110, or Rodinal all pair beautifully with Tri-X.
• Expect some base fog and a softer toe from age — that's the vintage character, not a flaw.
• Keep development gentle; with irreplaceable 1978 stock, restraint beats pushing.

Notes

A true one-of-one — the only roll we have, sold as-is as vintage expired stock. When it sells, it's gone for good.
