This newly manufactured viewfinder mask provides a clear square digital capture area when using a Phase One P20 or similarly sized square-sensor digital back with a Hasselblad 500-series camera.
The Hasselblad V system was built around the iconic 6×6 film frame. When a smaller digital back is adapted to the camera, however, the sensor records only a portion of what remains visible on the focusing screen.
This mask provides the missing visual boundary.
Designed around the capture area of the Phase One P20, it allows you to compose for the digital image directly through the Hasselblad viewfinder rather than estimating the sensor boundaries on the larger 6×6 screen.
