The RZ67 was designed around the generous 6×7 film format. When a smaller digital sensor is placed behind it, much of what you see on the ground glass falls outside the recorded image. This mask provides the missing visual boundary, allowing the RZ67 to work more naturally as a digital technical-camera platform.
