Canon EOS RT Body – Quiet Mirror Classic, Bargain Condition
This is my Canon EOS RT—Canon’s underrated speedster from the late ‘80s, featuring that unique pellicle mirror for near-silent shutter release and lightning-fast response. I’ve used it primarily for street and candid work where discretion was key, and it never missed a beat.
Functionally solid—shutter fires, meter works, no strange behavior or battery drain (a known quirk with some of the 600-series bodies). That said, the LED illuminator for the viewfinder no longer lights up, which is common with these older Canons. Doesn’t affect usability if you know your way around the camera.
Cosmetically, it’s in bargain shape—plenty of scratches and signs of real use, but no cracks or structural damage. Just the body—no lens or cap included.
If you’re after a sleeper film body with one of the most unique mirror systems Canon ever built, this one still delivers.
