Effective August 25, 2026
The short version: because film is light-sensitive and much of what we carry is rare, expired, or made-to-order, returns are limited. Here's exactly how it works — and if something arrives damaged or wrong, we'll always make it right.
We ship within the United States via USPS, with tracking on every order. Rates are calculated live at checkout based on weight and destination.
Because film is light-sensitive and can't be resold once handled, opened or used film is not returnable. Unopened film in its original condition may be returned within 14 days of delivery; the buyer covers return shipping, and we refund once we receive it.
Expired and vintage stocks are sold as-is. Age affects film in unpredictable ways — base fog, color shifts, and reduced speed are part of the character (and the appeal). Results are never guaranteed, and expired or vintage film is not eligible for return or refund based on photographic results. We describe each stock as honestly as we can so you know what you're getting.
Returnable within 14 days if unused and in original condition. The buyer covers return shipping unless the item is defective or not as described.
Produced specifically for your order and not returnable unless defective.
If your order arrives damaged, or we sent the wrong item, email [email protected] within 7 days with your order number and a photo. We'll replace it or refund you — on us.
Every order ships with tracking. If a package is marked delivered but you can't find it, or tracking stalls, contact us and we'll help track it down and, where applicable, file a carrier claim.
Filmwear and most merch are fulfilled through our Etsy and Printify shops. Those items follow the return policy shown at checkout on those platforms.
Email [email protected] with your order number and what you'd like to do. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method (via Stripe) and typically appear within a few business days of approval or of our receiving the returned item.
