Meyer-Optik Görlitz 300mm f/4.5 – Pentacon 6 Mount, Rugged Body / Clean Glass
Here’s a well-worn but optically solid Meyer-Optik Görlitz 300mm f/4.5 in Pentacon 6 mount—a true East German long telephoto with that classic rendering and a beautiful compression effect. I’ve used this one adapted to mirrorless for nature and some surreal portraits where the reach and vintage character add something unique.
Externally, it’s seen better days—plenty of wear, scuffs, and paint loss. It’s not a shelf piece. But the optics? Surprisingly good. A little internal dust (as expected for its age), but no haze, fungus, or separation. For a lens of this vintage, it’s in great optical shape.
Focus is smooth, aperture clicks properly, and it includes the built-in tripod mount for better stability. The long throw focus ring makes it ideal for precise manual work, especially with adapters on digital bodies.
A rugged, classic long lens with real creative potential—ready to shoot, not just to admire.
